Dawn Chavous, Founder & President 

Community advocate. Problem solver. Connector. For nearly 20 years, Dawn Chavous has been behind the scenes handling major public and private ventures, developing public policy and for the last 13 years, leading Chavous Consulting. Proudly committed to diversity, her firm is WMBE and DBE certified. 

Dawn upholds the belief that zip code shouldn’t define opportunity. As champion for community impact, Dawn enhances and elevates engagement efforts of organizations, resulting in raising over $12M in direct funding for clients. A former chief of staff for a Pennsylvania State Senator, she has applied her acumen and experience in government in her community advocacy. An elected committee person, Dawn utilizes her voice to inform and ignite the community of over 400 constituents.

Lindsi Weaver, Executive Assistant to the President

Lindsi Weaver has extensive experience assisting in HR, accounts receivable, sales, marketing, business development & social media. She has spent over fifteen years assisting executives and managers on several organizational levels. She is a film and television buff, a gardening enthusiast, and she embraces spending her free time with her family and her animals.

Sara Osi Scott, Senior Associate Consultant

Sara Osi Scott has a long history working in project development, program leadership, event planning, and the nonprofit sector. She has developed and executed culturally relevant programming both domestically and internationally as an executive committee director of the annual Fit4You fitness retreat, a director of programming for the National Association for the Prevention of Starvation, a founding board member and secretary of Sky Community Partners, Inc., director of the Health Department at her local church, and more. She has a deep passion for learning, helping others, and cultivating community, which led her to obtain master’s degrees in both nursing and theatre (Thomas Jefferson University and Louisiana State University respectively). Though she wears many hats, Sara’s most cherished title is “mama.”

Ekiah Lewis, Associate Consultant

Ekiah is a dynamic professional with a diverse background in hospitality, administration, and media. With strong leadership and organizational skills, she has successfully managed operations, coordinated projects, and created inclusive, community-focused experiences. Her experience as a business owner and Executive Administrative Assistant has sharpened her attention to detail, while her role as a Media Advisor has honed her creativity in developing impactful strategies. Known for her excellent time management, critical thinking, and proactive problem-solving, Ekiah excels in fostering team cohesion and driving successful outcomes. Passionate about serving others, she thrives in environments where she can connect with people, contribute to meaningful experiences, and implement innovative solutions.

Thera Martin, Associate Consultant & Communications Specialist

Thera Martin is a seasoned radio personality and communications specialist with extensive experience in broadcast media. She has worked at WDAS AM/FM, WHAT AM, WURD AM/FM, and WWDB AM, and currently hosts “Inside SCOOP” every Wednesday from 8-9 AM on WWDB AM. In addition to radio, she hosts a weekly cable television show on La Salle TV, aired on Xfinity and Verizon public access channels, covering topics such as healthcare, education, and civic engagement to keep the community informed and empowered.

Beyond broadcasting, Thera has a deep passion for Public Relations, helping nonprofits and organizations promote programs and events that educate and uplift the community. She also provides event planning support, ensuring that initiatives are well-organized and impactful. Additionally, Thera is a scriptwriter and narrator for documentaries, using her storytelling skills to highlight important social issues. Thrilled to be part of The Chavous Consulting Team, Thera brings her expertise in media, communications, event planning, and community engagement to further support meaningful initiatives.

Donna-Marie Duncan, Graphic Design Director

Donna specializes in creating, beautiful, professional designs for print, social media and websites. She has a CAM Foundation Diploma (Communications, Advertising and Marketing) and two undergraduate honors degrees in Fine Art and Marketing from London, UK Her graduate degree in Business Administration (Global Management) was attained in the US. This combination of studies and her 20 years of experience serving start-up to mid-size businesses, non-profit organizations, community and political campaigns, and elected officials give her the unique position to quickly interpret a clients vision into usable, effective messaging, no matter the medium.
